Filoli's Hiring an Assistant Guest Experience Manager!

What You'll Do

As our Assistant Guest Experience Manager, you'll be a key part of our leadership team, working closely with the Guest Experience Manager to ensure every visitor has an unforgettable experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading a Great Team: You'll help train, schedule, and supervise our Guest Experience team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. You'll also provide daily guidance and support to ensure everything runs smoothly.

• Creating Memorable Moments: You’ll be on the front lines, greeting visitors, answering questions, and sharing the unique story of Filoli. Your energy and passion will help visitors of all ages feel welcome and engaged.

• Overseeing Daily Operations: You'll make sure our Check-In kiosks and other guest areas are well-stocked and running efficiently. You'll also help with administrative tasks and data tracking to support the team.

• Interpreting Our History: You'll have the opportunity to deliver talks and tours, sharing your knowledge of Filoli’s house and gardens in a fun and engaging way.

What We're Looking For

We need someone with a knack for leadership and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a cultural institution, museum, or historic site.

• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing a team and fostering a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming team dynamic. You should be a great listener and a proactive problem-solver.

• Passion for People: A strong focus on providing outstanding customer service and the ability to work with a diverse group of employees and visitors.

• Flexibility: This is a fast-paced environment, and your schedule will include evenings and weekends, so flexibility is a must.

The Details

• Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt position.

• Pay Rate: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Benefits: This position is eligible for our full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and 401(k).

• Location: Filoli is located in Woodside, CA. A valid driver's license is required.
