Your Impact
As our IT Manager, you'll be a hands-on leader, shaping how technology optimizes every aspect of the Filoli experience. You'll define and integrate solutions across the entire visitor journey, from seamless ticketing and retail operations to enhancing guest experiences and leveraging data analytics. Beyond our visitors, you'll empower our staff by optimizing workplace platforms, ensuring robust cybersecurity, and maintaining a reliable IT infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll drive our technology strategy, ensuring it aligns perfectly with our guest-centric approach. This is a full-time, flexibly scheduled position, working on the site of a beautiful historic house. Depending on candidate experience, the salary range is $88,000 to $106,000. This position also is eligible for employee benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, Flex Plan, 401(k) (eligible 1st of the month following the date of hire), vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay. This position requires a flexible schedule that includes evenings and/or weekends for donation and public events.
We're looking for a data-driven, hands-on leader with exceptional project management skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a knack for making nimble decisions in complex situations. What You'll Do

Lead & Strategize: Champion the implementation and continuous improvement of technology solutions for everything from ticketing and POS systems to guest experience enhancements and robust analytics. You'll be our go-to expert for all technology systems, developing streamlined communication, and ensuring strong cybersecurity and PCI compliance across all platforms.

Project Manage & Operate: Take direct ownership of critical technology projects, overseeing work platforms, admissions, retail, food & beverage, and call center operations. You'll manage relationships with third-party IT service providers, administer telecommunications, design our network infrastructure, and manage our annual IT budget. You'll also be a super user across a diverse tech ecosystem, including platforms like ROLLER, Square, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, Shopify, and more!

Mentor Your Team: Directly supervise and guide our IT Technician/Coordinator, ensuring efficient IT support for all staff and equipment. You'll oversee the help desk, provide training, and ensure comprehensive documentation.

Collaborate & Connect: Partner with various internal teams – from marketing and finance to operations – to identify needs, develop solutions, and ensure seamless system implementations.
What You Bring

IT Experience: 5+ years in progressive IT roles, with significant experience in both guest-facing technology and internal staff support.

Leadership: 2-3+ years in an IT leadership or supervisory role, with a proven ability to mentor and develop technical staff.

Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead technology implementations, systems training, and updates with various stakeholders.

Technical Aptitude: Strong hands-on proficiency with a diverse range of systems, preferably including ticketing (ROLLER, ALTRU), POS (Square), inventory management (Yellowdog), Microsoft Office 365/Google Workspace, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and more.

Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.

Office Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Applications.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk across uneven terrain, climb stairs, and sit for long periods at a computer. A valid Driver's License is required.
Bonus Points for: 3-5 years of experience in a service or visitor-oriented position and relevant industry certifications (PMP, ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
