Seasonal Facilities Technician - Be a Key Player in the Magic of Filoli!
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Do you thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role where every day brings something new? Filoli, a stunning 654-acre historic estate and public garden, is looking for Seasonal Facilities Technicians to join our team from September 15, 2025, through January 15, 2026. This seasonal position offers a flexible schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $26.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our most exciting season, with a team dedicated to preserving a place of wonder and beauty.
What You'll Do
As a Seasonal Facilities Technician, you'll be essential to the success of our events and daily operations. Your work will directly contribute to a world-class experience for thousands of visitors.

Event Support: You'll be on the front lines for our holiday night events, setting up and breaking down tables, moving furniture, restocking propane for fire pits, and troubleshooting issues to ensure a safe and beautiful experience for our guests.

Logistics & Maintenance: You'll help with receiving and organizing deliveries, manage trash and recycling, and assist the Facilities Team with general repairs. From minor plumbing and electrical work to basic carpentry and small equipment repair, you'll be a key part of our daily maintenance efforts.

Team Collaboration: You'll work closely with various teams, responding to work orders, maintaining a clean workspace, and providing high-quality support to staff, visitors, and volunteers.
We're Looking for Someone Who Is...

Hands-On: You have at least 1-3 years of related experience in building or property maintenance. You're comfortable with general repairs, and experience in historical preservation is a plus.

Flexible: You'll primarily work a Wednesday-Sunday or Friday-Tuesday schedule (1:00-9:00pm), with a schedule provided at least two weeks in advance.

A Self-Starter: You're flexible, energetic, and can work independently to solve problems and get the job done.

A Team Player: You have strong collaboration skills and a positive, calm demeanor, ready to interact effectively with a diverse range of people, including staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Physically Capable: You can lift and carry up to 60 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet across uneven terrain. You have a valid driver's license and are comfortable operating various vehicles and equipment.
